Guipure Wool Lace

Guipure wool lace brings the structured, three-dimensional embroidery of guipure to a wool base, giving a heavier, textured lace with genuine warmth — unusual outside of European ateliers, where it is used for winter coats, jackets, capes and other cold-weather pieces that still call for embroidered detail rather than plain cloth. The wool base gives the guipure motifs extra body and a soft, slightly fuzzy definition compared with cotton or polyester versions.

AnBella Designs sources its guipure wool lace as deadstock, rescued from European mill runs rather than made to order, and sells it by the metre for designers, ateliers and home sewists working on outerwear and autumn/winter collections. It is a genuinely niche material within our range, so quantities are small and, once a particular wool guipure lace sells through, it will not be repeated.
